January 1 2026: I'm tired of living in modern society
I wanted to put something here about politics and shit, but I can't get the fucking words out in a coherent manner. I guess I could try to look at what's been going on at home.
Well my cousin moved in, and while that's cool on paper, his health is going down the shitter, and the "healthcare" system seems to be screwing him over, when it comes to getting the meds and surgeries he needs. He recently got a job, which is nice. There aren't a lot of people I like, but I can't help but look up to him. He got dealt several shitty hands in a row, and he's still trying his best.
I've also started building up a CD library. I've become very jaded about streaming and digital media over the years, so I'm making a conscious effort to stock up on phisical goods. I already have a decent selection of DVDs and Blu Rays built up over a decade, and while it's dying out for gaming, I still prefer to have a physical copy in hand.
The political and ecenomic situtaion in America sucks, and it's only gonna get worse. But I can't really do much about it. Just have to take it one day at a time, and make sure I don't go crazy.
